Spooky season has officially arrived on Gretar Holdings! From today until November 6, the whole server is getting a Halloween makeover, with haunted decorations at spawn, special night-time mobs and a pumpkin hunt that spans the entire map. Grab a torch and keep your armor handy, because things get strange after dark.
The Great Pumpkin Hunt
Fifty haunted pumpkins have been hidden around spawn and across the main world. Some are tucked into obvious corners, while others are buried in caves, perched on mountain peaks or hidden inside player-built landmarks (with permission, of course). Right-click a haunted pumpkin to claim it, and each one you find drops a random spooky treat into your inventory.
Every pumpkin gives a treat bag with candy, food or rare decorative blocks.
Find 10 pumpkins to unlock the "Pumpkin Hunter" chat title.
Find all 50 to earn the exclusive "Headless" cosmetic hat.
Night-Time Mobs and Candy
When the sun goes down, a few new visitors appear. Special Halloween mobs spawn in dark areas and drop limited-edition candy when defeated. Candy can be traded at the Halloween stall at spawn for decorations, potions and festive cosmetics. Candy disappears when the event ends, so spend it before November 6!
Stay Safe Out There
Night mobs hit a bit harder than usual, so bring friends, eat well and set your home before heading out. Remember that griefing and stealing from other players are still against the rules, even during a pumpkin hunt.
Costumes and Decorations
Want to get into the spirit? Halloween cosmetic hats are available from the candy stall, and any player who decorates their base with pumpkins, cobwebs and jack-o'-lanterns can enter our spooky base showcase. Post coordinates in the suggestions channel, and staff will tour the creepiest builds on Halloween night, handing out bonus candy to every featured builder. Ghosts, graveyards and haunted towers are all encouraged!
